Minnetonka Moccasins

March 6, 2012

Since 1946, Minnetonka has been a staple of American style. As post-war Americans took to the highways exploring the country’s natural beauty, they stumbled upon resorts and souvenir shops carrying traditional handmade goods. And in the process, rediscovered America’s original footwear in Minnetonka moccasins.

From fringe boots, to thunderbird moccasins, to men’s driving mocs, to Minnetonka bags – we are excited to have these goods at The Mustache: Goods & Wears!

February 4, 2012

We are super excited to be carrying Dsenyo goods in the shop. Dsenyo is a social enterprise that believes business is a powerful way to address social and economic problems. Countless challenges confront creative and industrious people in Malawi, Africa as they try to build their small businesses, practice their craft and support their families. Dsenyo accessories are handcrafted in Malawi and Colorado. They work with several sewing cooperatives and are expanding their production in Africa. All Dsenyo products are made in Malawi. Dsenyo pays a fair wage, develops long-term relationships with producers and provides much needed employment for women and artisans. In addition to creating jobs, they donate a portion of sales to community development projects in Malawi, and partner with non-profits there and abroad to help raise money for their causes.
